What will you do in this role?

Mission: Improve the scalability and efficiency of ICEYE’s Missions Sales Engineering workflows through hands-on automation, scripting, and tool development.

We’re looking for a driven and curious intern to join the Missions Sales Engineering team at ICEYE, focusing on automating and streamlining key workflows. This is a hands-on technical role ideal for someone eager to apply scripting, system integration, and generative AI to real business challenges. You’ll contribute directly to building tools that boost team productivity and help ICEYE scale its mission line of business.

Responsibilities:

Automation Projects

  • Design and build scripts and lightweight tools to automate repetitive Sales Engineering tasks
  • Streamline documentation, quoting, and proposal generation processes
  • Evaluate and pilot automation and GenAI applications to enhance workflows and content production

Collaboration

  • Work alongside Sales Engineers and Sales teams to understand practical needs
  • Co-design and implement small automation pilots with measurable outcomes

Continuous Improvement

  • Document your tools and solutions clearly for team-wide adoption
  • Gather feedback, iterate on prototypes, and incorporate learnings from real-world user feedback

Expected Outcomes

  • Delivered at least 2 automation pilots that are adopted or used regularly by the Sales Engineering team
  • Reduced sales engineering time spent on a specific workflow (e.g., quoting or proposal templating) by 30% or more
  • Contributed documentation and guides that allow the team to use and maintain your tools post-internship
  • Received positive feedback from Sales Engineers and Sales on usability and impact of tools
  • Presented your work in a final wrap-up session with the wider Missions team

Requirements

  • Ongoing or recently completed degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
  • Strong interest in scripting, workflow automation, and real-world technical applications


Skills & Attributes

  • Hands-on experience with Python, Google Workspace scripting (Apps Script or similar), and Gen AI tools (Gemini, ChatGPT)
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Clear communicator and collaborative team player
  • Comfortable working independently and proposing creative solutions to open-ended problems


Bonus Points if you have:

  • Passion for space, satellite technology, and SAR.
  • Prior internship or project experience in technical or operational roles
