EWT Cloud Engineering sit within the Engineering capability under Enterprise-Wide Technology, Platform Engineering and Operations. The team provide technology solutions to the firm, covering Design, Cloud Engineering/DevOps and AVD. This role will sit in the EWT Engineering Cloud DevOps Team

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Being part of a team of DevOps engineers, working collaboratively on supporting and developing EWT Cloud Platform
  • Develop and maintain our CICD processes for the EWT cloud environments
  • Form a key part of the code review process which would include alteration to the platforms and contribute to Terraform modules
  • Ensuring platform compliance and remediation
  • Continued improvement of platform health dashboards
  • Be actively involved in R&D, POCs and new technologies
  • Contribute to the development of tools and services useful in DevOps environments such as performance monitoring, security monitoring, deployment/configuration
  • Support your wider Infrastructure community by assisting other teams, sharing knowledge, debugging problems
  • Lead by example by living by Our Values and embracing our culture

The Person

 

 

  • Hands on experience with building Microsoft Cloud solutions
  • Experience in software development or scripting languages such as PowerShell/Bash/JSON/Terraform
  • Azure Configuration Policies
  • Azure Desired State Configuration (DSC)
  • Azure Virtual Machine (Windows and Linux)
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelining skills using Azure DevOps/GitHub or equivalent tools
  • Experience of working in a DevOps/SRE environment
  • Useful to have experience of a corporate enterprise environment
  • Ability to hold technical discussions with team members and non-technical with stakeholders (e.g. Project Managers)
  • Bring fresh ideas to the team that could demonstrate value to the firm
