OT/ICS Security Consultants/ Assistant Manager

 

KPMG is seeking a passionate Cyber OT (Operational Technologies), Industrial Control Systems (ICS) security and / or IoT expert to join a world leading practice focused on protecting mission critical systems and national critical infrastructures.  This role is a critical part of an operational service to protect some of the world’s leading organizations from Cyber threats that span more than just IT.   The successful candidate will work closely with the local & regional cyber leadership.  The candidate is expected to possess strong knowledge and skills on OT/ICS security

 

Work profile is to conduct

·       Risk Assessment and Vulnerability Management: OT/ICS security professionals are responsible for conducting comprehensive risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities, potential threats, and their potential impact on critical systems. They perform regular vulnerability scans, assess system architecture, and implement robust strategies for effective risk mitigation.

·       Security Architecture Design: Creating secure and resilient OT/ICS architectures is a key responsibility of these professionals. They design and implement network segmentation, robust access controls, and advanced intrusion detection/prevention systems, fortifying the infrastructure against potential intrusions and attacks.

·       Threat Monitoring and Incident Response: With their vigilant eyes on the systems, OT/ICS security professionals continuously monitor potential threats. Rapid incident response is their forte as they investigate and contain incidents, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely remediation.

·       Security Testing and Assessment: Professionals carry out regular security testing and assessments to proactively identify weaknesses and vulnerabilities in OT/ICS systems. Through penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and security audits, they provide valuable insights, enabling organizations to implement effective remediation measures.

 

Qualification and experience

  • Engineering graduate with minimum of 3 years control systems security background with relevant previous experience in a technical or consulting environment.
  • Experience with ICS systems and ICS security industry practices with exposure to Operational technologies
  • Minimum 3 years with supporting PLC, DCS, SIS, HMI or SCADA systems. Experience supporting and troubleshooting industrial protocols such as OPC, Modbus TCP, HART, Foundation Fieldbus
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of one or more of the following: IEC 62443/ISA 99, ISO 27001, NIST SP 800-82, CPNI Good Practice. Certification in IEC 62443 is preferred
  • Experience deploying or supporting security practices and technologies such as risk or vulnerability assessments, antivirus software, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, centralized alert logging and monitoring in ICS environments (energy companies or large manufacturing organizations)
