POSITION SUMMARY
The Employee Experience Coordinator supports a positive, inclusive, and engaging workplace where employees feel valued and connected. Acting as a cultural ambassador, this role delivers events, recognition programs, communications, wellness initiatives, and engagement activities that bring Crystal Mountain’s mission and values to life. Working closely with the HR team and department leaders, the coordinator ensures employee experience programs are well-planned, effectively executed, and impactful.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Program Coordination & Support
- Plan and assist with employee engagement activities, events, and celebrations.
- Coordinate wellness, culture awareness, and inclusion programming through scheduling, logistics, communications, and participation promotion.
- Track program participation, collect event feedback, and provide summary reports to guide improvements.
- Maintain and update employee experience resources, including bulletin boards, digital signage, and other communication tools.
Culture & Recognition
- Model and actively promote Crystal Mountain’s mission, values, and culture in all programs and interactions.
- Support the development and delivery of employee recognition programs, including milestone celebrations, spot awards, and informal recognition initiatives.
- Partner with employee committees to plan and execute engagement, culture, and recognition activities.
Communications
- Draft and distribute employee-focused communications such as newsletters, pre-shift talking points, and event announcements.
- Maintain a consistent brand voice aligned with Crystal Mountain and Alterra Mountain Company values.
- Support internal messaging through multiple channels, including email, posters, and digital boards.
- Assist with engagement survey communications and follow-up action planning.
- Keep all employee communications up to date in the Employee Services Lounge.
Administrative & Front Desk Support
- Maintain employee experience calendars, schedules, and contact lists.
- Collect, organize, and report on engagement and participation data.
- Lead employee perk and discount administration, providing assistance and oversight to employees and J-1 coordinators.
- Manage perk distribution using Excel/Outlook automation.
- Conduct regular audits of perks and employee programs to ensure compliance.
Collaboration & Service
- Partner with HR and department leaders to support recognition and engagement efforts.
- Serve as a friendly, approachable point of contact for employees regarding programs, events, communications, and other employee experience initiatives.
- Provide on-site event support, including setup, check-in, and breakdown.
- Assist with onboarding to ensure new employees feel welcome, informed, and connected.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Proficient in MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Strong public speaking and presenting skills
- Proficient with social media including but not limited to Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, WordPress, Vimeo, and Pinterest
- Able to work independently and take initiative without continual oversight
- Ability to collaborate with others including internal and external customers, employees, and guests
- Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain
EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Two years of relevant experience in team oriented, fast-paced setting.
- Experience in a resort, hospitality, or tourism setting preferred.

This position may be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 20 pounds on an occasional basis.
- Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other common office equipment on a constant basis.
- Auditory and visual acuity to operate computers, phones, mobile devices, and basic office equipment on a constant basis.
- Ability to work for extended periods of time sitting, bending, reaching, and speaking on a constant basis.
- Ability to work for extended periods of time standing, walking, kneeling, pushing and pulling on an occasional basis.
- Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees.
