ABOUT THE ROLE
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Contracts Administrator to join our team supporting our long-term detailed and bulk earthworks, electrical services, infrastructure and construction scopes in Rockingham, WA. The role will be initially based at our Balcatta office and transitioning to Rockingham in February 2025.
As the Senior Contracts Administrator, you will be reporting to the Commercial Lead and you will be responsible for responsible for managing contracts and commercial functions to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to contractual requirements.
Other key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Lead and oversee all aspects of contract administration, continuously reviewing and improving processes and mechanisms.
- Manage contract negotiations, ensuring favourable terms while maintaining strong client relationships.
- Establish and administer project rights, obligations, payment claims, variations, and vendor agreements in line with company procedures and contractual requirements.
- Support the selection, negotiation, and management of vendors in collaboration with procurement and legal teams.
- Monitor, review, and ensure compliance with head contract and subcontract conditions across projects.
- Provide commercial support to project, operations, and general managers to achieve financial and contractual outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including tendering, procurement, finance, operations, and legal departments, to ensure alignment of commercial strategies and activities.
- Manage, mentor, and develop the commercial team, providing training, support, and guidance to achieve objectives.
To be successful, you will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- 2-3 years’ experience in a Senior Contracts Administration role.
- Solid understanding of Commercial requirements, contract management, subcontract management, cost control in the Civil Engineering industry.
- Proven experience working on major projects, ideally with the main contractor.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Defence security clearance (essential)
- Australian Defence Force (ADF) experience is desirable.
