Payroll Administrator - Veterinary Hospital
Do you have experience processing and administering payroll? Are you looking to be challenged, and to work in a dynamic environment with a great group of people? This position involves managing biweekly payroll and all related taxes and benefits deductions for a group of over 300 employees.
This is a full-time position based out of East Greenwich, RI that will support our main hospital, Ocean State Veterinary Specialists, and our sister hospital, Bay State Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Services in Swansea, MA. You will work closely with the HR team in house, along with support from the team at United Veterinary Care.
Responsibilities:
- Resolve timecard and payroll errors on a biweekly basis
- Ensure accuracy of payroll information
- Ensure that payroll is submitted on a timely basis
- Maintain insurance plans for all employees
- Ensure all appropriate tax and benefit deductions are applied
- Monitor time and money balances for PTO, professional development, etc.
- Prepare weekly, quarterly and annual reports
- Work with individual employees to ensure they understand their compensation and benefits as relates to payroll
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or human resources (preferred)
- At least 2 years’ experience in payroll processing (required)
- Competence in basic mathematics
- Knowledge of payroll management software, including Dayforce
- Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, including Excel
- Knowledge in compliance issues
- Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritize tasks
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work as a team in a positive way
