As part of the mission, the Quality Technician will be supporting incoming Quality and sampling inspection for critical assemblies.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections on optical components, mechanical fabricated parts, and cables.
- Conducting First Article Inspection on new assemblies, PCBA's and cables.
- Follow established sampling plans and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and logs.
- Document and report findings according to specifications.
- Assist engineers in investigating failures and defects in parts and components.
- Identify quality issues and recommend improvements to enhance inspection processes.
- Work closely with engineers and suppliers to resolve quality concerns.
- Support FPY improvement activities and determines root cause of Manufacturing low Yield / Quality issues.
- Incorporate continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of Job.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor based on business needs.
Requirements:
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Quality inspection, Quality tech or related roles.
- ITE / Diploma or higher in engineering or equivalent.
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, specifications and Manufacturing manuals.
- Proficiency in using measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and good documentation skills.
