Summary
The TEMP Senior Analyst - Transportation Support role supports every function of the Transportation Support department, with an emphasis on monitoring Hawaii, Alaska and Guam shipments and analytical and administrative support for the department. This position will also work on special projects or tasks as assigned to the Transportation Support Team.
Responsibilities
• Monitor and track Hawaii and Alaska shipments, including working with the ocean carrier to plan each vessel
◦ Liaison for Hawaii and Alaska shipments, which includes providing customers with weekly forecast and handling of any shipment issues
◦ Monitor and track Guam shipments, including working with ocean carrier and customer to ensure on-time delivery to port for shipments
◦ Track and report alternative shipments to provide to the customer
◦ Manage customer shipping record log and process vendor AP invoices
• Create ad hoc reports and other special projects for management when requested
◦ Submit Change Requests and Tickets to enhance ITMS
◦ Audit and Process Invoices from truck vendors, both manual and EDI
◦ Correspond with carriers via e-mail and phone regarding correction of audit holds
◦ Troubleshoot invoicing and delivery file transmission issues for the vendors, identifying root cause issues
◦ Assist in the creation and maintenance of transportation routes
◦ Other duties as assigned
Compensation
6 months, $27 per hour (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)
Skills & Qualifications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills Required
• Proficient with PC skills: Excel, Word and database management Required
Education & Experience
• High School Diploma/G.E.D Required
• Bachelor's Degree Preferred
• 3 - 5 Years of Direct Experience in Logistics or SCM Required
• 4 - 7 Years of Direct Experience in Logistics or SCM Preferred
Physical Requirements
• Ability to sit in front of a desk and/or in front of the computer for long periods
• Repetitive use of hand/grasping product, writing, and typing
• Possibility of domestic travel - 5%
• Lift up to 20lbs
• Carry up to 20lbs
• Stand/walk
