Position: Jazz Ensemble Director

The Conservatory of Music at Wheaton College (Illinois) invites application for a part-time one-year guest lecturer position in jazz to begin August 2025.  Primary responsibilities for this position include providing leadership for the jazz ensemble program, including programming, conducting rehearsal, sectionals, and concerts, and grading.  Contributions to recruitment and auditioning of prospective students are also welcome.

Applicants should have evidence of successful teaching experience in jazz, and minimum of an earned master’s degree in music.  Priority will be given to applicants with records of strong teaching, accomplished performance, and Christian faith.
