How will you make an impact in this role?

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the development, implementation and maintenance of AMEX Assurance Company insurance programs, standards and procedures.
  • Prepare and manage Rate, Rule and Form filings to state regulatory agencies
  • Provide guidance for implementation of regulatory filings, forms and other submissions, engaging and collaborating with key stakeholders as needed and required
  • General knowledge and understanding of insurance laws and rules
  • Provide analytical support for insurance programs and products performance
  • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly and ad-hoc product and program reporting
  • Provide guidance and training to business on product filings, regulatory issues and requirements related to insurance programs and product         filings
  • Assist and support of special projects, program testing, audit efforts, and other initiatives as needed and assigned
  • Research, respond and manage insurance and product related inquiries and issues end-to-end
  • Ensure adherence with state and federal legal and regulatory requirements and internal company policies, procedures and guidelines

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong negotiation and relationship building skills to resolve business issues and deliver outcomes through collaboration
  • Ability to think strategically and analytically with ability to translate analysis into actionable business strategies
  • Impeccable integrity with ability to manage and handle confidential and proprietary information
  • Strong team player with a willingness to assist with projects beyond immediate job scope
  • High proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Suite tools (PowerPoint, Word, OneDrive)
  • Data extraction and data manipulation experience
  • Excellent organizational, time management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to communicate complex issues, root causes and feasible operational solutions to stakeholders at all business levels and present analysis, recommendations and creative solutions in a clear and professional manner 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Insurance certification / designation a plus
  • College degree or equivalent work experience
  • Project management experience a plus
  • Previous insurance, underwriting, compliance or filing experience preferred
  • 3-5 years of relative insurance and/or compliance experience preferred

Minimum Qualifications

 

Salary Range: $55,000 to $105,000 annually + bonus + benefits
