Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Fuel Supply & Strategy Manager to oversee our fuel procurement, supply chain optimization, and strategic planning initiatives. This role will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, identifying cost-saving opportunities, optimizing ordering and storage processes, and ensuring compliance across our fuel operations. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in the liquid fuel sector, strong commercial acumen, and a proven ability to deliver both short-term efficiencies and long-term strategic value.

Key Responsibilities
  •  Manage and maintain relationships with fuel suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing and reliable supply.
  •  Identify arbitrage and cost-savings opportunities through market analysis and operational optimization.
  •  Optimize the fuel ordering process, leveraging telemetry systems and other technologies to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  •  Develop, implement, and oversee bulk storage tank maintenance programs, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
  •  Manage the retail fuel card program, including monitoring transactions for fraud detection and prevention.
  •  Develop a long-term fuel strategy, optimizing existing assets while mitigating supply and price risks.
  •  Monitor and analyze regional supply points, pipeline networks, and terminal economics to inform purchasing and operational decisions.

Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.

A. Education and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree (accredited), or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience: 5 years of relevant work experience (in addition to education requirement).

Preferred Qualifications:   

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the liquid fuel sector.
     
  • Minimum 3 years of direct experience managing fuel supply contracts.
       
  • Comprehensive understanding of fuel logistics, including regional supply dynamics, pipeline operations, and terminal economics.
      
  • Proven track record in supplier negotiation, cost optimization, and risk management.
       
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and operational metrics.
       
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
      
  • Proficiency with fuel management software, telemetry systems, and related technologies is preferred.
       
  • Basic understanding of commodity trading, as well as hedging/ risk management strategies.
