Forklift Driver / Forklift Operator

The Forklift Driver is responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, move, and stack products and materials. This role ensures safe and efficient transportation of goods within the facility, supporting the production, shipping, and receiving operations.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Safely operate sit-down, stand-up, or reach forklifts to move products or materials
Load and unload trucks, pallets, and containers
Transport goods to designated areas (production lines, staging, storage, shipping)
Inspect forklift and related equipment daily to ensure proper function and safety
Maintain clean and organized work areas, including warehouse zones
Assist in inventory checks by scanning or recording material movement
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines for material handling and storage
Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptly
Collaborate with warehouse, production, and logistics teams as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Valid forklift certification/license (as required by local law or employer)
Proven experience operating a forklift (typically 1+ years)
Basic math and reading skills
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive movements
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Strong attention to detail and safety

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

Full-time, shift-based work (day/night/weekend shifts may apply)
Work environment may include noise, dust, and exposure to varying temperatures
PPE (e.g., safety shoes, gloves) required
Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without any restrictions
Okay to work 100% on-site in Des Plaines, IL
