Special Education Teacher - RSP Teacher

SpeechCom Inc. is hiring a special education teacher-resource specialist (RSP), with a Mild to Moderate California Services Credential, to serve a school district in the Santa Clarita area of Los Angeles, CA for the 25/26 school year.

Rate of Pay: $55-$65 per hour W2 (depending on experience)

Hours: Full-time, maximum of 40 hours per week

Details:

• Start Date: Mid-September through June 12, 2026
• Manage a TK-6th grade caseload
• Mild/Moderate Needs
• Must pass LiveScan
• TB Test Clearance
• Must have CA teaching credential

Requirements

 Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
• Utilize learning technology and assistive devices to enhance student learning
• Use effective behavior management strategies to address challenging behaviors and promote positive social skills
• Collaborate with other educators, parents, and support staff to ensure the success of each student
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed

Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field
• Experience working with students with special needs
• Knowledge of learning disabilities, developmental delays, and other special education needs
• Familiarity with behavior management techniques and strategies
• Proficiency in lesson planning and curriculum development for diverse learners
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, parents, and students
