Hours: 24-28/week
Shift: All shifts with alternating weekends

WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR FCMC
Our Acute Care Technician and Ward Clerk monitors the conditions of our acute care patients and ensures that the patient unit is running efficiently. More specifically, some of this position’s vital responsibilities include:
- Giving and receiving beside reports of all patients at the shift change
- Taking and recording patients’ vital signs, reporting any abnormalities to the charge nurse
- Answering call lights and routinely checking patients to ensure that all personal care needs are being met
- Maintaining supplies as needed for the unit by taking inventory, ordering, and restocking
- Maintaining a daily census
- Noting orders, filling requisitions, and making appointments as ordered by the physician
Requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Certified Nursing Assistant in the State of Idaho
- CPR certified
- Working knowledge of basic equipment including wheelchairs, electrical beds, lift equipment, carts, scales, and vital sign analysis equipment
- Good communication skills, both written and oral, in the English language
- Clerical and keyboarding skills, knowledge of word processing, email, and basic computer literacy
Essential Job Functions:
- Regular and predictable attendance is required
- Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or twist
- Occasionally required to sit, climb, and balance
- Occasionally required to operate foot controls and lifts
- Frequently able to move/push up to 35 pounds, occasionally able to lift/carry/move/push up to 100 pounds
- This job's specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and peripheral vision
- Regularly required to use oral and written communication in English; learn and apply new information and skills; interact positively with other employees; and interact positively with patients, some of whom may be cognitively impaired and/or abusive
- Must comply with HIPAA to protect information that is sensitive, proprietary, or confidential
- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as situations require to maintain infection control standards set by the facility
Work Environment:
- FCMC operates 24 hours per day each day of the year; operational needs of departments may require that you be available to work all shifts, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the patients
- Potential exposure to blood, body tissue, fluids, contagious diseases, and hazardous waste
- Occasional exposure to bodily injury, loud/unpleasant noise, unpleasant odor, emotional or physical stress
