Join Ascend Medical and help us deliver restorative, whole-person care. We’re looking for a warm, engaging, and personable Medical Assistant to support our Restorative Health provider in Woodstock. This hybrid role combines front office hospitality with back office clinical support.

What You’ll Do:
- Welcome patients warmly and make every visit feel personal and supportive.
- Manage check-in/out, scheduling, and patient communications.
- Take vitals, assist with procedures, perform injections, and collect lab specimens.
- Keep rooms stocked, equipment clean, and records accurate in EMR.
- Collaborate with the provider to ensure seamless, compassionate care.

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent is required. Graduate from a nationally accredited Medical Assistant program OR equivalent healthcare preparation (i.e. foreign-trained physician, paramedic, etc.) is required.
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) preferred
• Minimum of 2 years MA experience working in a healthcare setting required.
• Strong ability to utilize technology
• Must be current in CPR certification
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Knowledge of clinical procedures, medical anatomy, and physiology, ICD-10 and CPT codes, insurance eligibility and copay determination.
• Proficiency with venipuncture, IV placement, injections, and basic medical assistant duties.
• Effective communication and interaction with team members, patients, providers, and other colleagues. Ability to use tack and diplomacy appropriate to situation
• Must be well organized and able to multi-task seeing multiple patients at once in a fast paced high-volume environment
• Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment
