At Peak Power, we’re making it profitable to pursue net zero
Peak Power enables C&I companies to reduce costs while pursuing net zero goals by working with financiers to provide a no-cost battery energy storage solution that covers deployment, operation, and maintenance. We also help distributed energy resource asset owners optimize their assets through our Peak Synergy software.
Peak Synergy is our energy efficiency software platform. It analyzes grid conditions in real-time and sends notifications for high demand hours. The platform also looks at how dirty the grid is at any moment. If a building has batteries and EVs chargers onsite, Peak Synergy manages their usage to meet sustainability goals and participate in complicated energy market programs.
At the end of the day, this means cleaner, more reliable, and more affordable electricity for everyone. We’re powering the clean energy revolution.
The Opportunity - Why This Role Exists
Our CEO and CFO are leading the company through its next stage of growth—raising capital, evolving the operating model, and scaling our team and systems. As Chief of Staff, reporting into our CEO, the mission is to enable and unlock their strategic and operational capacity, allowing the focus to be on the highest-leverage opportunities while ensuring our company moves faster, smarter, and with greater impact.
This isn’t a calendar-buffer or note-taking role. We already use AI for that.
You will be the impact multiplier—eliminating friction, championing an AI-first mindset, and turning strategy into momentum. In doing so, you’ll help scale our systems and make the company sharper and faster as we grow.
What You’ll Do
Executive Leverage & Decision Velocity
- Translate CEO/CFO priorities into clear, actionable plans with owners, timelines, and outputs—always favoring clarity over drawn-out consensus.
- Track progress, anticipate roadblocks, and ensure crisp follow-through.
- Share recommendations early—even if they’re still evolving—so alignment happens in real time.
- Use AI tools to rapidly synthesize context, enhance decision making, and reduce organizational drag.
Organizational Infrastructure
- Own and evolve our operating cadence (we use Entrepreneurial Operating System), ensuring our rhythms drive outcomes and measurable progress.
- Design and maintain simple systems (Notion pages, dashboards, trackers) that make progress visible and friction low
AI-Native Enablement
- Explore, champion, and embed AI tools (ChatGPT, Notion AI, Zapier, etc.) across the organization to boost leverage at every level.
- Identify and automate low-value tasks, freeing teams for higher-impact work.
- Create adaptable internal tools and processes that keep communication sharp and prioritization clear without adding unnecessary complexity.
Organizational Alignment
- Be the chameleon of collaboration—bringing genuine humility that fosters trust across teams, and adapt fluidly across priorities, personalities, and styles to keep alignment strong and momentum high.
- Spot and resolve misalignment, duplication, or hidden blockers before they slow us down.
- Maintain initiative trackers and scorecards so executives can see across silos and act with confidence
- Build systems and habits that keep the company aligned and moving toward outcomes that will outlast any single role or person.
Executive Communications
- Draft and refine CEO/CFO communications—from internal updates to board decks—so they’re sharp, timely, and actionable.
- Prepare contextual briefings that make every executive meeting count.
- Keep communication transparent, accessible, and focused on decision-making, never bogged down by process for its own sake.
What Success Looks Like
- CEO and CFO priorities move forward without their constant re-engagement.
- Strategic initiatives have clear owners, timelines, and reporting loops.
- Internal rhythms run cleanly and improve each quarter.
- AI tools reduce noise and increase speed across teams.
- You spot friction, propose fixes, and help the organization become more self-managing over time.
What You Bring
- 3-5 years in a high-performance, high-trust environment (e.g. startups, consulting, operations, venture)
- AI-native or AI-curious: You have harnessed tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Zapier, Airtable, Superhuman AI and Notion AI to think sharper, move faster, and build smarter workflows—using AI as a performance multiplier, not a shortcut, and pairing speed with human judgment for precision and impact.
- Energy fluency: You don’t need to be an expert, but you must know your way around electricity markets, grid tech, or energy systems
- You’re a self starter, organized, and structured by instinct—people rely on you when things get messy
- Clear communicator: concise, credible, and quick to surface what matters
- You apply intellect, humility, and hard work to every opportunity, fostering trust and delivering So why Peak Power?
