Packaging Technician - B2 Nightshift

Shift Schedule:

B2: Thursday-Saturday 5 pm - 5 am and  Wednesdays from 5:00pm-11:00 pm

• Primary Responsibilities:
• • Start up, changeover, and shut down assigned machines as necessary
• • Effectively and efficiently set-up labeler and identify quality issues
• • Perform minor adjustments to machinery under the supervision of maintenance supervisor, production
• lead, and/or production supervisor
• • Complete production documentation as assigned
• • Perform routine preventive maintenance of equipment including basic mechanical preventive inspections
• • Conduct maintenance visual inspections and machine lubrication as required by the computer
• maintenance management system (CMMS) issued operator PMs
• • Complete work orders in the CMMS
• • Periodically document and complete PM and operation specification checklists at the line
• • Maintain relevant documentation for assigned equipment
• • Perform quality checks on assigned machines
• • Maintain safety, quality and production standards
• Education/Background Requirements:
• • Basic mathematic skills are required
• • Industrial packaging machine operating experience is preferred
• Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
• • Excellent communication skills including reading and understanding technical documentation
• • Ability to explain and communicate issues effectively as required
• • Basic understanding of wrappers, scales, baggers, labelers and printers related to set-up is preferred.
• • Consistently meet line efficiencies for assigned line and schedule
• • Team player driven to succeed in a flexible fast-paced environment
• • Detail oriented to be able to understand and quickly correct deviations in the process according to system
• design and upper and lower control limits
• Working Conditions:
• • Environment includes an expansive refrigerated warehouse, where the temperature averages 48-53
• degrees Fahrenheit
• • The background noise approaches 70 decibels
• • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. consistently throughout the day
