The Recruitment & Onboarding Manager will be responsible for effectively representing CCV’s values, culture, and opportunities to potential hires and external partners in recruiting efforts. Additionally, this role will focus on working closely with hiring managers to understand needs, building a candidate pipeline to meet hiring needs, lead the organization in hiring top talent, and ensure an exceptional hiring process. The ideal candidate is people focused, detailed oriented, and possesses strong leadership skills.

Job Description

Essential Job Functions

  • Leads and mentors the recruiting and onboarding team, fostering a collaborative, results driven culture.
  • Oversees the full-cycle recruitment process, including managing day-to-day activities such as job postings, candidate sourcing, interviewing, and selection.
  • Maintains a strong understanding of the ongoing hiring needs of CCV and establishes the right sourcing mix to generate a strong pool of talent that matches CCV’s values and culture.  
  • Collaborate with hiring managers, ministry leads, and cross-functional teams to understand hiring requirements, develop and update job descriptions, meet hiring needs, provide regular updates, and report on outcomes.
  • Execute and partner with the Operations Lead in deploying the established recruiting strategy through networking, careers fairs, social media channels, and the use of resume databases.
  • Leverage data analytics and metrics to measure the effectiveness of recruiting strategies and selection outcomes.
  • Lead all process improvement efforts in the hiring process including, screening and evaluating candidates, communication, interviews and assessments, and selection.
  • Manage candidate pipelines in the applicant tracking system (ATS) to ensure a robust candidate pool for openings and coordinating placement of candidates across campus and central roles.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in talent acquisition and recruitment.

Qualifications

External Candidates:

  • Strong understanding of CCV’s culture, core values, and fundamentals.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills. 
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and HR software is preferred.
  • Proven experience in recruitment or Human Resources for a multi-site church or nonprofit organization is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proficient in utilizing various sourcing channels, tools, and platforms to identify and engage potential candidates is preferred.

Internal Candidates:

  • Exemplifies CCV’s culture, core values, and fundamentals.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
  • Minimum 3-5 years on staff
  • Campus experience and a strong understanding of campus positions are preferred.
  • Leadership experience managing 2-3 staff members on a campus or central team.
