POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Employee Relations:
• Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding workplace policies and practices.
• Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints and recommend resolutions in compliance with company policies
and applicable laws.
• Coach and counsel supervisors and employees on conflict resolution, disciplinary action, and performance improvement.
• Partner with leadership to foster a positive work environment that aligns with company culture and values.
Recruitment and Onboarding:
• Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop proactive recruiting strategies.
• Conduct comprehensive new hire orientation sessions and ensure a smooth onboarding experience for all new employees.

Performance Management:
• Assist managers with setting performance goals and expectations aligned with business objectives.
• Coordinate and track employee performance review process, including mid-year and annual evaluations.
• Provide guidance to supervisors on performance improvement plans (PIP’s) and monitor progress.
• Support the calibration of performance ratings to ensure consistency and fairness across departments.

HR Policies and Compliance:
• Ensure company policies and procedures are consistently applied and updated to reflect current laws and best practices.
• Advise management on employment compliance, including FMLA, FLSA, ADA, OSHA, EEO, and other regulatory requirements.
• Maintain confidential and accurate employee files and HRIS data in accordance with legal standards.
• Support audits by preparing necessary documentation and ensuring readiness for internal and external reviews.

Training and Development:
• Identify training needs by consulting with managers and employees and analyzing organizational goals.
• Coordinate or facilitate employee training programs, such as leadership development, safety training, and compliance
workshops.
• Track training attendance and completion and accurate records.
• Support career development initiatives by promoting available learning opportunities and programs.
Benefits Administration:
• Act as a liaison between employees and benefits providers for health insurance, life insurance, retirement plans, and other
programs.
• Assist employees with benefits enrolment, qualifying life events, claims issues, and other benefits-related questions.
• Coordinate open enrollment processes, including communication, system setup, and employee education.

HR Reporting and Analytics:
• Prepare regular reports on HR metrics such as headcount, turnover, time-to-fill, and training hours.
• Analyze HR data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and present findings to management.
• Maintain compliance with reporting requirements under state and federal regulations (e.g., EEO-1 reporting).

Employee Engagement:
• Support the planning and execution of employee engagement activities, such as recognition programs, appreciation events,
and surveys.
• Collect and analyze employee feedback to recommend improvements in engagement and retention strategies.
• Champion diversity initiatives across the workforce.
• Serve as a advocate for the employee experience, promoting two-way communication between staff and leadership.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

EDUCATION:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources Management, or a related field preferred.
• SHRM or HRCI certified preferred

EXPERIENCE:
• Proven experience as an HR Generalist or similar role required, and in a logistics, warehousing, or transportation
industry preferred.

KNOWLEDGE:
• Knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
• Strong interpersonal skills

factor analysis.
• Language - Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. Ability
to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business
community. Ability to effectively present information to top management.
• Accuracy - Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.

handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
