Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of conceptual and detailed process designs
  • Perform process simulations using engineering software
  • Create and revise process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
  • Prepare and update equipment datasheets and line lists
  • Assist with the sizing and specification of equipment, valves, and instrumentation
  • Support in the development of control narratives and cause-and-effect diagrams
  • Participate in HAZOP reviews and 3D model reviews
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams on project proposals and deliverables
  • Ensure that all work complies with company standards and industry codes
  • Liaise with project managers and clients as required
  • Completion of a 2–3 year post-secondary diploma in mechanical, chemical, or process engineering technology

Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of experience in an industrial, oil & gas, or process engineering environment preferred
  • Proficient with engineering software such as Aspen HYSYS, AutoCAD, or similar
  • Strong understanding of P&IDs, equipment design, and control systems
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Enrollment in ASET or eligibility considered an asset
