About the Position
We are seeking a strategic operational leader to serve as our next Director of Content Strategy & Operations, focused on driving transformation and scalable execution across the systems, processes, and teams that power our learning and content development efforts.
Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, you’ll take on a portfolio of high-impact initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency, consistency, and innovation—starting with the transformation of our content production pipeline. Your first major area of focus will be reimagining how content moves from conception to delivery across our digital learning products. You will bring clarity and structure to fragmented workflows, lead cross-functional modernization efforts, and help integrate AI tools and automation across teams.
This is not a “last mile” delivery role—it’s an opportunity to help grow our products and their impact by redesigning the full content lifecycle in close partnership with our curriculum and learning design, editorial, and product, design & engineering teams.
Over time, your remit may expand to include other areas of operational excellence across learning and product development, making this an ideal role for a systems-oriented leader ready to drive continuous improvement at scale.
Why join us? You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how we bring exceptional learning content to life—both in print and digital—while helping our teams harness the potential of AI to transform the way we work. If you thrive at the intersection of strategy, operations, content, and innovation, we’d love to meet you.
What You'll Do
Lead transformation initiatives across learning and content development functions, starting with the modernization of our content production and delivery pipeline
Unify legacy systems and workflows into a streamlined, scalable, cross-platform production process for both print and digital content.
Introduce and scale AI tools, automation, and other modern technologies to improve quality, efficiency, and consistency.
Partner cross-functionally with leaders in curriculum, editorial, learning design, content development, product, engineering, and technology to optimize operations and align content and platform product roadmaps and execution plans.
Oversee the content budgeting and planning process and establish clear operational metrics and reporting to track efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery.
Diagnose operational inefficiencies, propose practical solutions, and implement changes that drive measurable impact.
Champion a culture of operational rigor, agility, continuous improvement, and collaboration across content- and product-related teams.
Who You Are
You bring at least 10 years of professional experience, including relevant experience in modern content strategy or agile product development. You have demonstrated experience leading operational functions, ideally within a content-centric or learning-focused organization (e.g., digital publishing, edtech, curriculum development, instructional design).
You have proven success driving cross-functional transformation initiatives, optimizing complex workflows, and integrating emerging technologies, ideally within the context of an agile methodology or framework.
You have familiarity with and curiosity about AI-powered content tools and workflow automation platforms.
You are a collaborative leader, with strong influence skills and a track record of aligning diverse teams to shared goals and leveling others up with regard to using evidence to drive decision-making.
