Sony Music Product Design Engineering and Global Operations (PDE + GO) team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our development team in our Tallinn, Estonia Office!
What you'll do:
- Build products that empower artists and record labels across the globe
- Contribute to all tiers of our architecture to produce high quality, robust user experiences
- Write clean, tested and maintainable code
- Work closely with product management to understand and implement client requirements
- Design, communicate and execute a vision in collaboration with your team and other teams across the technology organization
- Participate in re-architecture, refinement and technical design of various systems
- Mentor more junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning
Who you are:
- We’re seeking 8-10+ years experience with modern, web browser application development
○ Typescript, React and javascript so able to code review & guide development
○ Familiar with low-latency techniques to help us improve page load time and reliability.
○ Fully conversant with testing frameworks. - Familiar with n-tier application architecture
○ An expert working experience with microservices and communication over HTTP, including relevant standards such as REST, HTTP, and OAuth
○ Deep understanding where caching techniques can bring latency and reliability improvements.
○ Extensive Node.js experience.
○ Knowledgeable about pipeline deployments and CI environments. - Strong Knowledge with AWS Cloud technologies
- A leader with application security best practices
- Experience with working with different data stores
○ RDS, Snowflake and graph databases
○ A positive innovator for where our data models can be improved to decrease latency, save on resources and improve reliability. - Comfortability working with cross-functional teams:
○ Prior experience of mentoring / training would be advantageous.
○ Ability to persuade and influence peers and
