Group1001 is looking for a recent FSA to join our Institutional Market Pricing team with a primary focus on Pension Risk Transfer, working on location in our home office on a hybrid basis.
This position will report to the Director of Institutional Market Pricing.
How You’ll Contribute:
- Build, maintain and enhance actuarial models and processes for Institutional Pricing in support of corporate objectives, regulatory needs, and product management.
- Analyze and price institutional market products
- Review and Approve work produced by team members.
- Design, test, and review model enhancements in support of new product features, new or updated product assumptions, new model versions and techniques, and/or other business requirements.
- Continually improve processes related to data quality and model efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure adequate governance and documentation of actuarial processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional individuals throughout the organization to optimize results.
- Provide leadership in special projects as needed.
- Handle ad-hoc requests independently.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, finance, economics, math, statistics, physics, engineering, or related field.
- 6 years of relevant actuarial annuity pricing experience, pension risk transfer or reinsurance experience preferred
- Fellow of the Society of Actuaries.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication (oral/written), time management, project management, and solution finding skills.
- Proficiency in Excel (including VBA) and database tools (Microsoft Access, SQL, etc.)
- Experience with actuarial software (ALFA preferred).
- Self-starter with the ability to balance multiple projects and priorities and meet deadlines.
