Position Overview
The primary responsibility of the Manager – Reporting & Analytics is to manage and support the strategic direction to data, access and reporting for the Corporate Analytics & Reporting team. This team provides a wide array of support, strategic analysis, metrics, and reporting to Corporate and the Property Information Technology departments. The main area of focus is performing analysis and evaluating performance of key IT operating metrics and expenses such as headcount, payroll, maintenance contracts, project delivery, and assets (see specific examples below).
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Las Vegas Sands Corp.’s policies, practices, and procedures. All Las Vegas Sands Corp. Team Members are expected to conduct and carry themselves in a professional manner at all times. Team Members are required to observe the Company’s standards, work requirements and rules of conduct.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Consulting with data management teams to get a big-picture idea of the company’s data storage needs
Presenting the company with warehousing options based on their storage needs
Collaborate with BI developers, DBA, researchers, and IT in enhancing existing projects or data structures, and resolving project and programming issues
Act as a subject matter expert for the ETL architecture for the EDW
Work with Agile team members to document and execute test plans for data loading and data validation scripts
Designing and coding the data warehousing system to desired company specifications
Conducting preliminary testing of the warehousing environment before data is extracted
Extracting company data and transferring it into the new warehousing environment
Testing the new storage system once all the data has been transferred
Troubleshooting any issues that may arise
Providing maintenance support
Responsible to creating and adhering to standard operating procedures and standards for data and web application related activities
Responsible for analyzing customer requirements and creating web-based applications in Azure
Participating on requirement gathering, analysis and technical design
Develop client displays and user interfaces
Creating, deploying, configuring and scaling applications on Azure PaaS (preferred)
Design, Develop and support Cloud-Native applications and API development using NET, NET Core and Containers (preferred)
Develop workflow solutions to simplify processes and remove manual dependencies (preferred)
Develop technical interfaces, specifications, and architecture
Use and adapt existing web applications for apps (preferred)
Create and test software prototypes
Responsible to creating and adhering to standard operating procedures and standards for data and web application related activities
Responsible for creating and maintaining analysis and reporting
Collecting and adhering to business requirements for reporting deliverables
Responsible for extracting, transforming, and creating connections to various data sources for Business Intelligence (preferred)
Developing multidimensional models that are compatible with warehouse standards (preferred)
Understand business requirements and data models while taking care of the sources
Responsible for converting existing reporting to automated dashboards
Analyzes operational data, monitoring key operations metrics, managing the governance process around key operations metrics, and providing recommendations on process improvements
Develops and maintains monthly dashboards of key operational performance indicators, incorporating data from multiple internal and external sources and communicates results to leadership
Responsible to creating and adhering to standard operating procedures and standards for all data related activities
Perform job duties in a safe manner

Performs other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
At least 21 years of age
Proof of authorization to work in the United States
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or related Business discipline, or equivalent business experience
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Control Board Registration and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy
Minimum 5 years of CI/CD, DevOps experience preferred
Minimum 5 years Azure platform and related Azure products preferred
Minimum 3 years Analytics experience preferred
Azure Data Factory experience preferred
Well versed with Azure offerings with work experience on Web apps, ASE, ASP, function apps, SQL PaaS, Storage accounts
Develop T-SQL queries, scripts and store procedures used for extracting, validating, transforming, and loading data provide by clients
Develop PL/SQL store procedures used by front-end and middle-tier developers
Develop T-SQL store procedures for checking integrity constraints and database updates
Proficiency in warehousing architecture techniques, including MOLAP, ROLAP, ODS, DM, and EDW
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, Visual Studio, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, SSMS, SQL Server, Visio & other Microsoft Office programs
Proven work experience as an ETL developer
Hands on experience on Azure App Service Model (Web Apps and Web Jobs)
Hands on experience on Azure storage services like SQL DB, Tables, Files and Blobs
Good knowledge of Azure IaaS (VMs, VNET, NSG Rules, VPN Gateways and Express Route)
Knowledge of networking engineering including DNS, Active Directory, Firewall, Load balancers preferred
Hands on experience in implementing RESTful webservices and SOAP services in cloud preferred
In-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Platform Web Development (IIS, .NET, Web Services, SQL Server, SharePoint, Windows Server, Clustering, Active Directory etc.) preferred
Strong understanding of Cloud computing concepts and technologies, such as IaaS/SaaS/PaaS, load balancing, storage, etc. preferred
Well versed with Azure or other GIT repositories
Proficient with Data Analysis Expression (DAX) queries
Experience creating Power BI dashboards
Strong project management skills
Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical problems
Able to travel as needed to support a global organization
Experience in development and supporting enterprise applications
Experience working with financial data from key gaming and hospitality applications such as Stratton Warren, Infinium, Cognos, and Ariba preferred
Experience using ServiceNow and the Performance Analytics module preferred
Experience working with IT and Project Managers preferred
Must demonstrate the key fundamental values of professional skepticism, integrity, transparency, and accuracy
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and interact appropriately with management, other Team Members and outside contacts of different backgrounds and levels of experience
