The Opportunity:
Assist with virtualization, infrastructure management, infrastructure configuration, and automation related to Aegis and Virtualized Aegis. The Engineer will be responsible for performing various tasks to include, but are not limited to, developing scripts for automating tasks, supporting testing events with virtual infrastructure knowledge, maintaining configuration management of virtual infrastructure, assisting with third-party application integrations, and to maintain overall lab operations as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
Work as part of a team to ensure Aegis Combat System (ACS) functionality is virtualized, configured, and functions in accordance to tactical performance expectations on the planned delivery hardware.
Interfacing with users and the networking team to facilitate needed connections and functionality.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering discipline
- Ability to obtain a security clearance (Must be US Citizen)
- Ability and desire to routinely work in a classified work environment onsite at the laboratory.
- Background and/or experience with automated deployment of computing infrastructure and network configurations utilizing technologies like Ansible, Powershell, Python, and Bash.
- Ability to integrate and coordinate technical efforts with industry and Government team members, to include program offices and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work with others to meet established goals and program schedules.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Experience with Systems Engineering and best practices
- Experience with computing, networking (including Software Defined Networks), memory, and storage.
- Experience with Linux and Windows based operating systems
- Experience with Virtualization technologies and principles, specifically the VMware family of products such as ESXi, vCenter, Aria, and vSAN.
Desired:
- Knowledge of Combat System functionality and Aegis tactical capabilities delivered and operational in the fleet.
- Active SECRET level clearance

The proposed salary range for this position is:
