We’re looking for talented team members who want to Dream. Do. Grow. with us.
An important part of the Toyota family is Toyota Financial Services (TFS), the finance and insurance brand for Toyota and Lexus in North America. While TFS is a separate business entity, it is an essential part of this world-changing company- delivering on Toyota's vision to move people beyond what's possible. At TFS, you will help create best-in-class customer experience in an innovative, collaborative environment.
To save time applying, Toyota does not offer sponsorship of job applicants for employment-based visas or any other work authorization for this position at this time.
Who we’re looking for
The TFS Enterprise Platforms team is seeking a highly motivated Technical Product Owner to lead the development and evolution of our enterprise data platform. In this role, you will guide a team of engineers and collaborate across business and technology teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-impact data capabilities that support Toyota Financial Services’ data-driven decision-making.
You will play a critical role in shaping the future of our data ecosystem by enabling seamless data access, robust pipelines, self-service capabilities, and strong data governance across the enterprise.
What you’ll be doing
Own and manage the product lifecycle for core data platform capabilities, including data ingestion frameworks, data quality, cataloging, governance, and self-service tooling.
Collaborate closely with data engineers, architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand pain points, and prioritize platform enhancements that enable trusted, timely, and actionable data.
Lead agile planning and backlog management across multiple initiatives, ensuring timely delivery of data services that support enterprise analytics, AI/ML, and reporting use cases.
Drive best practices in data architecture, pipeline development, metadata management, and cloud-based data platform design.
Establish and monitor KPIs to track the platform’s adoption, performance, and business impact, using data to guide prioritization and investment decisions.
Translate technical concepts into business value for executive stakeholders, advocating for the role of data in strategic decision-making.
Maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure delivery of key platform integrations, tools, and managed services.
What you bring
Extensive experience managing the full product lifecycle for a technical platform or infrastructure product in an enterprise environment.
Deep understanding of modern architecture patterns or frameworks relevant to platform and product development (e.g., modular design, event-driven systems, real-time processing, microservices).
Proven ability to deliver solutions using cloud-based or enterprise-scale platform services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, internal developer tooling).
Demonstrated success collaborating with cross-functional technical teams (engineering, architecture, operations) to deliver scalable and secure platform capabilities.
Added bonus if you have
Master’s Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or Engineering.
Experience leading the implementation of enterprise data governance, data catalogs, and data quality frameworks.
Background working with privacy, compliance, or regulated data environments (e.g., PCI, HIPAA, GLBA).
Hands-on experience building internal data platforms, self-service tooling, or enterprise-wide analytics enablement strategies.
What we’ll bring
During your interview process, our team can fill you in on all the details of our industry-leading benefits and career development opportunities. A few highlights include:
