Job Summary
The Comcast Ventures Head of Finance will be responsible for overseeing and managing all finance-related activities across a broad portfolio of investments. This key contributor will provide financial, accounting, and reporting support in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. This role will also work closely with the investment team and operational partners to provide strategic insights that support investment decisions and strategy. The ideal candidate must have the ability to think critically and analytically, work cross-functionally with various stakeholders, and communicate effectively to executive leaders and external stakeholders.Comcast Ventures is the venture capital arm of Comcast Corporation, with a 20+ year history of partnering with entrepreneurs to accelerate growth for their businesses. Job Description
Core Responsibilities
Portfolio & Fund Finance Management
Oversee all finance and accounting operations of Comcast Ventures’ Investment Portfolio, ensuring GAAP-compliant reporting
Execute capital disbursements, record proceeds from investments and exits, and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal reporting requirements
Coordinate closely with Comcast’s Accounting, Legal, Treasury and Finances teams to facilitate investment transactions
Monitor financial performance, health, and cash positions of portfolio companies; provide insights into capital needs, trends and risks
Partner with portfolio company CFOs & CV investment team to optimize best practices
Oversee budgets and forecasts related to the day-to-day operations of Comcast Ventures
Strategic Financial Leadership
Support investment team as needed on due diligence, valuation modeling, return analyses, and exit projections
Perform post-exit analyses to assess investment outcomes and realized performance
Provide actionable insights on macroeconomic and venture market trends; share insights with relevant stakeholders to inform performance results, investment strategy, and decision-making
Leadership & Team Development
Provide leadership and mentorship to team members across CV and Finance
Foster a culture of analytical rigor, transparency, and collaboration
Additional Requirements/Qualifications:
8+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, preferably with a focus on venture capital, private equity, or investment banking
Strong understanding of investment accounting, venture capital fund structures, valuation techniques and portfolio performance metrics
Self-starter with proven ability to work cross-functionally, manage relationships across diverse stakeholders, problem solve independently, as well as manage multiple projects / deadlines
Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal and people management skills
Keen attention to detail and comfort with ambiguity
Passion for technology, startups, and venture capital ecosystem
NYC-based preferred but open to Philadelphia-based
Hybrid: 4 days in office / 1day remote

Primary Location Pay Range: $157,061.13 - $235,591.70Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a Commission under the terms of an applicable plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a Bonus.
