About the Role

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Purchasing Officer – Indirect to join our supply chain team in Smithfield. This is a 12mth Fixed Term Contract where your role is pivotal to ensuring the smooth operation of indirect purchasing across Vinidex. If you’re experienced in SAP and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this is a great opportunity to work locally while making a meaningful impact.

What You Will Do in the Role

Create and maintain vendor profiles in SAP for indirect spend categories
Convert purchase requisitions into accurate purchase orders
Update supplier acknowledgements and delivery schedules
Resolve supplier issues including invoice variances, returns, and quality concerns
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure efficient procurement processes

About You

Proven experience using SAP in a purchasing or procurement role (essential)
Strong analytical skills and intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office
Experience in a supply chain or operations environment preferred
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Able to work independently, manage change, and prioritise effectively
Customer-focused with a commitment to continuous improvement
