<h3><strong>Position Overview</strong></h3>
<p>Our client is seeking an <strong>experienced Project Manager III</strong> to support the <strong> Public Health Laboratory</strong> in implementing a <strong>new Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)</strong>, as well as managing other smaller IT-related initiatives at the Laboratory.</p>
<p>You will be responsible for overseeing the full project lifecycle, ensuring successful delivery on scope, schedule, and budget, while coordinating with technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders across the agencies. </p>
<h3><strong>Scope of Work</strong></h3>
<p>The Contractor’s Key Person will:</p>
<ul>
<li>Serve as the primary <strong>Project Manager</strong> for the LIMS Replacement project. </li>
<li>Manage additional client's projects as assigned. </li>
</ul>
<h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Lead project planning, scheduling, and execution. </li>
<li>Coordinate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business needs. </li>
<li>Develop, maintain, and track project documentation including project charters, schedules, risk registers, and status reports. </li>
<li>Manage vendor relationships, ensuring deliverables meet contractual and quality expectations. </li>
<li>Monitor and control project risks, issues, and changes through established governance processes. </li>
<li>Ensure compliance with client and agency standards, policies, and procedures. </li>
<li>Facilitate effective communication between client's leadership, technical teams, and external partners. </li>
<li>Provide regular progress updates to stakeholders and project sponsors. </li>
</ul>
<h3><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Proven experience managing large-scale IT projects, preferably in public health, laboratory, or healthcare</li>
<li>environments. </li>
<li>Strong understanding of <strong>Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)</strong> or similar complex software solutions. </li>
<li>Proficiency in project management methodologies (PMBOK, Agile, or hybrid approaches). </li>
<li>Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. </li>
<li>Experience managing vendor contracts and deliverables. </li>
<li>Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment</li>
</ul>
<h3><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Project Management Professional (<strong>PMP</strong>) or other relevant certifications. </li>
<li>Experience with state or federal public sector IT projects. </li>
<li>Familiarity with clients' systems and operational processes. </li>
</ul>
<h3><strong>Work Environment</strong></h3>
<p>Hybrid work arrangement with periodic on-site presence<br />
Collaboration with cross-functional teams including IT staff, laboratory personnel, and agency leadership.</p>
