Job Description Summary

Under general supervision, the Cinematography Assistant will maintain and inventory camera and lighting equipment. This person will work with several camera packages, covering a variety of manufactures. The Cinematography Assistant must what goes into each of the camera packages and how camera packages are maintained and repaired.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIS

1. Prep and maintain camera, camera accessories and filmmaking equipment associated with the cinematography discipline.
2. Maintain color calibrations for display monitors and projectors
3. Maintain and inventory camera and lighting equipment.
4. Prep camera gear for upper level film projects; ensures gear is returned in full working order.
5. Maintain and manage software/firmware updates on camera gear; test workflows and functionality of new gear.
6. Monitors facilities such as the equipment storage areas, screening rooms; ensures that areas are functional and accessible for Film Department activities.
7. Other duties as assigned.

Education And Experience

Minimum:

Must be a senior level Film student in good academic standing.
