Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Clinical Leadership
- Partner with the CEO and executive leadership team to define and implement the company’s clinical strategy in alignment with corporate quality and growth objectives.
- Anticipate market trends, regulatory changes, and evolving patient expectations to position the organization as an industry leader.
- Lead the design and execution of clinical innovation strategies, including value-based care models, AI-enabled diagnostics, and personalized patient engagement approaches.
Clinical Excellence & Operations
- Ensure consistently high-quality clinical outcomes across all locations through rigorous quality assurance, peer review, and performance improvement programs.
- Oversee clinical policies, procedures, and standards to meet or exceed accreditation, regulatory, and professional requirements.
- Drive operational efficiency by implementing best practices in workflow, resource utilization, and technology adoption.
- Champion a patient-first approach, ensuring an exceptional patient experience in every interaction.
Physician & Team Leadership
- Serve as the Solis ambassador to incumbent and new physician groups serving our joint venture (JV) partners or through acquisitions, building trust and alignment while representing Solis’ mission and values.
- Drive engagement and collaboration with physicians, encouraging the evolution of their clinical practices to support Solis centers through relationship-building, influence, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Oversee education programs for physicians and clinical staff, promoting continuous learning, best practices, and knowledge-sharing.
Innovation & Research
- Direct the company’s clinical research agenda, including partnerships with academic institutions and participation in national studies.
- Identify and implement emerging diagnostic and treatment technologies, ensuring rapid adoption of clinically proven innovations.
- Champion AI and emerging technologies to improve diagnostic accuracy, efficiency, and patient outcomes.
Business Development Support
- Serve as a clinical thought leader in strategic growth initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, and partnership opportunities.
- Provide clinical insight during due diligence, integration, and new market entry.
- Act as the clinical voice in payer negotiations, service line expansion, and product innovation.
External Engagement
- Represent Solis in public policy discussions related to women’s health, breast imaging, and AI in healthcare, advocating for legislation and standards that advance the company’s mission.
- Build strategic relationships with referring physicians, hospital partners, advocacy groups, and patient communities.
Qualifications
Required
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) with subspecialist in women’s health (OB, breast surgeon, female reproductive medicine, preventative women’s health, etc.).
- Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in a multi-site, multi-state healthcare organization.
- Demonstrated success in improving clinical outcomes, leading large teams, and implementing innovative care models.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and payer environments.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to connect with audiences ranging from frontline clinicians to board members.
Preferred
- Board certified radiologist; fellowship training in breast imaging.
- Master’s degree in business administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related field (MBA/MHA/MPH).
- 7–10 years of research experience with a strong publication record or history of clinical trials leadership.
- Prior experience as a Medical Director or Chief Medical Officer.
- Experience in digital health, AI applications in imaging, and value-based care program design.

The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) is the senior physician executive responsible for shaping and executing the highest standards of patient care through innovative clinical vision and strategy. This includes a strong emphasis on research initiatives, artificial intelligence (AI) integration, being Solis’ ambassador to incumbent and future physician groups, and representing Solis in public policy discussions related to women’s health.
