Join Our Contaminated Land Team based in Brisbane
We’re looking for a Senior Environmental Scientist to support and lead the delivery of contaminated land and broader environmental projects in Queensland and nationally. This role is perfect for someone with 7-10 years' experience who wants more ownership, variety, and growth.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Work on challenging and rewarding projects across Australia, Asia-Pacific, Canada and the United States that contribute to better environmental outcomes
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and senior staff
- Leading delivery of PSIs, DSIs, RAPs for complex urban renewal, precinct level design and remediation projects (we are working on some of Queensland’s most complex remediation projects at present!)
- Overseeing complex fieldwork tasks, including soil, groundwater, surface water and vapour sampling
- Preparing technical reports and client deliverables
- Leading proposal preparation and project costing
- Liaising with clients, subcontractors and regulators
What You’ll Need
- Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering or related discipline
- 7-10 years’ consulting experience in contaminated land
- Industry certification (CEnvP or CPSS) or keen interest to pursue this
- Solid understanding of QLD and national environmental frameworks (NEPM, EP Act, etc.)
- Strong communication and technical writing skills
- Confidence in the field, with an eye for detail and technical excellence
- A team-first attitude and a proactive mindset
- Willingness to learn from others at all career levels
- Desire to ask questions and think critically about technical matters
- Interest in developing your career!!
