The Service & Team:
The Careers Hub is a small team working with real purpose and impact to drive impactful change in the way young people from Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly think about their future working lives. We're here to help employers develop high quality and appropriate outreach activities and to support schools and colleges to deliver modern, equitable, quality and fit for purpose careers provision.
We work with other colleagues to develop and apply Cornwall's Workforce and skills Strategy; supporting the growth of the Cornish economy, it's an exciting time to join an established and forward thing team as we focus on four priority areas next year:
- To drive Continuous Improvement in Careers Education, aligned to the Gatsby Benchmarks
- To introduce the national equalex work experience guarantee
- Ensuring young people can access and progress through the full range of academic and vocational pathways
- Encourage employers throughout the region to complete the Employer Standards assessment.
The Role:
We are offering 2 roles; 1 of which will help us to deliver our ambitions to see high quality and equitable modern workplace experiences across our businesses and education institutions.
As an Enterprise Coordinator, You will build relationships with Careers leaders in Schools, Colleges and a network of business contacts with the aim of helping them to develop high quality careers provision for young people. You will plan and manage your own time; working from home, the office, visiting businesses and attending key networking events and meetings. You'll need to be organised and able to communicate with senior leaders from both education and business, with excellent IT skills. You will help others consider and develop new ways of working to support the best possible outcomes for schools, businesses and young people. Whether you have a back ground in education, careers or the private sector, we'd love to hear from you.
This is a public/customer-facing role, where the statutory English language requirement for public sector workers applies.
This position will be subject to an enhanced criminal record disclosure check.
Working pattern:
Working hours are 37 hours per week, part time and flexible working options are available including such as compressed hours, term-time only, hybrid work arrangements, and other alternatives.
