The Opportunity:
We have a fantastic 2-year fixed term opportunity in one of our western regions in Dubbo. This is an excellent opportunity for a Forest Planner, to develop and maintain strong relationships and drive continuous business improvement. The position would suit a recent graduate or mid-level professional, and is an opportunity for you to apply your environmental knowledge and technical skills to assist us with our natural resource management responsibilities.

About the role:
An exciting opportunity exists for a passionate Forest Planner, responsible for overseeing and producing operational maps and plans that align with business requirements and contractual supply obligations. The role will also ensure compliance outcomes are met in line with operational field assessments.
We would love you to have:
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in forestry, natural resource management or demonstrated similar experience obtained within the last 5 years.
• Forestry management experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong ability in writing harvest plans.
• Experience in working with tablet-based mapping will be looked upon favourably.
• Demonstrated experience and competence in working with GIS packages.
• Have a positive “can do” attitude with the ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
• Effectively balancing the day to day operational demands of the role.
• Timely support and communication to internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively across a range of stakeholders and build solid relationships.
• Capacity and willingness to undertake firefighting as required and work afterhours.
• Have a current driver’s licence.
