·ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Diagnose and repair damaged or worn tools and dies
· Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime
· Modify dies for improved surface quality and accuracy
· Interpret blueprints and technical drawings
· Operate manual and CNC machine tools
· Collaborate with engineers and production teams to troubleshoot tooling issues
· Maintain documentation of repairs and modifications
· Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
· Proven experience in tool and die repair or related field
· Strong knowledge of machining, metalworking, and toolmaking
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints and CAD designs
· Familiarity with CNC machines, EDM equipment, and precision measuring tools
· Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
· Physical stamina and dexterity for hands-on work
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Engineering level math skills.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Engineering computer skills. PLC and Vision skills are a plus.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define and collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and process several abstract and concrete variables. Understanding of mathematical basics, mechanical components, and systems operation
