About the Role
We are currently seeking an Accountant or Senior Accountant to join our Business Services team. We value demonstrated knowledge and experience and with that this role could be for someone ready to take the next step in their career.
You will work closely with our partners and your colleagues in a supportive and rewarding work environment. As a team member within our Business Services team, you will be mentored by our leaders, developing your knowledge and skill set in both compliance and advisory services.
About you
Some of your key responsibilities include:
Preparing and reviewing management accounts, supplier batch payments and business activity statements
Preparing and reviewing payroll, instalment activity statements and payroll tax returns
Undertaking a review of our client's finance function, project managing and executing finance function transitions, working closely with clients to build financial roadmaps, overseeing internal compliance activity, liaising directly with management team
Overseeing a team of bookkeepers and accountants
Mentoring of junior staff with the ability to successfully manage workflow
Maintaining and establishing positive relationships with colleagues and clients
Liaising with various providers and statutory authorities on behalf of clients
Ensuring jobs are completed effectively by meeting technical standards and deadlines
Ensuring clients are made aware of their compliance obligations
Requirements of the role:
Degree qualified in commerce, accounting, or equivalent;
Previous experience in a similar role within business advisory or private clients field
Working towards CA/CPA qualification (or equivalent)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
