ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Strategic Account Manager at Fanatics, you will leverage your extensive sales experience and advanced knowledge to drive revenue growth through the development and execution of strategic sales plans. You will be a key player in identifying new business opportunities, building and nurturing strong relationships with key decision-makers, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure the successful delivery of our solutions to nationwide accounts. This role requires a deep understanding of complex sales processes, exceptional communication skills, strong financial acumen, and a proven track record of consistently exceeding challenging sales targets.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales plan to achieve sales targets and drive business growth for nationwide accounts that span all teams and all leagues.
- Drive strategic growth plans by building seasonal, annual, and long-Range growth plans for each league in order to deliver strong performance against sales/revenue targets.
- Develop full year calendar plan, including hot markets and special events across all sports leagues.
- Identify risks and opportunities utilizing advances analytics skills to provide innovative solutions to complex challenges.
- Lead weekly meetings to address orderbook updates, recommended replenishment opportunities, Hot Market chase.
- Deep understanding of customer needs, objectives and goals with a focus on mitigating instore retail challenges, receipt plans, and KPI’s
- Proactively analyze sales trends, competitor rights and competitor market share
- Create and present sales reports, forecasts, and strategic program updates to executive leadership.
- Provide accurate and timely forecasts to multiple layers of leadership both internally and externally.
- Manage and maintain account relationships at all levels, including, buyers, leadership, marketing and planning teams.
- Effectively collaborate with multiple cross-functional partners including merchandising, League GMs, planning, order fulfillment, inventory, and licensing to ensure the delivery of top-tier customer service.
- Act as a leader within the Sales Team – formally/informally mentor junior sales representatives.
- Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR).
- Build and implement strategies at the category and door-level.
- Manage Key Milestone meetings and facilitating entire pre-line process with cross-functional partners.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to proactively manage the order file.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience - Experience in licensed sports is preferred.
- Requires more than 5 years of sales or similar experience in the apparel industry with SKU complexity; revenue level of $30M+.
- Must have experience working directly with strategic accounts as an employee or sales account manager with established relationships.
- Advanced analytical skills to be able to understand and interpret account financials.
- Previous experience with analytics tools such as POS, WOS, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to identify new opportunities resulting in sales growth.
- Extremely organized and detail-oriented in all aspects of managing an account.
- Exceptional communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated passion for professional or college sports (NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, etc.)
WHERE YOU WILL WORK AND WHAT'S REQUIRED:
- Ability to travel 20% of the time.
