Description

Major Responsibilities:

  • Teaches four courses per semester in the MSW and/or BSW programs, providing instruction through both traditional face-to-face and online formats.
  • Provides academic advising to BSW and MSW students.
  • Engages in departmental, college, and university initiatives as appropriate. 

Employment Conditions: A nine-month full-time appointment at the instructor level. Salary is competitive and dependent on academic qualifications.

Qualifications

Required:

  • MSW degree from a CSWE-accredited institution.
  • Two or more years of post-MSW professional social work practice experience. 
  • Evidence of teaching effectiveness in online and face-to-face settings.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to collaborative engagement within the department.
  • Experience working with diverse populations.

Preferred:

  • A doctorate degree in social work or a related field. 
  • Evidence of successful teaching with online educational technology.
