What’s the role?
An exciting opportunity is available for a Senior Lead DevOps Engineer to join the Enterprise DevOps Team. This role is responsible for designing, building, and supporting new DevOps pipelines, templates, tools, and services, with a focus on creating repeatable patterns and a reusable library of components. This role plays a key part in advancing our cloud orchestration capabilities.
The ideal candidate will have experience in development and/or DevOps, with strong expertise in Azure and/or AWS. They will be responsible for delivering fit-for-purpose, scalable, and operationally ready solutions to support platform consumers and dependent orchestrations. The role also involves mentoring and supporting engineering team members to achieve team objectives and enhance their development capabilities. A strong understanding of Agile methodologies at scale is essential, along with a proven ability to continuously improve processes within their scope of responsibility.
What do I need?
- Strong experience working in and building CI/CD pipelines at enterprise scale.
- Strong familiarity with Linux (RHEL) and Windows operating systems administration, databases and networking.
- Skilled in Chef development, including cookbooks, data bags, policy files, and InSpec, with experience designing and managing chef infrastructure in both standalone and clustered setups using chef infra server and automate.
- Provable experience with delivering solutions with Ruby or Python.
- Hands on experience leading design and development of an Infra and application deployment.
- Cloud solution development and production deployment experience via automated pipelines.
- Orchestration via cloud platform APIs, as well as IaC tooling such as the Terraform and HashiCorp tools stack.
- DevOps pipeline and test automation framework integration. Experience in software application testing with a developer-focused approach.
- Skilled at working with diverse teams and stakeholders, while also able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
