The Sr. Marine Technologist will:

• Analyze engineering changes, naval ships/systems/equipment including structures, materials, welding, paint & preservation, shock & vibration, damage control systems, piping systems
• Conduct technical investigations and engineering studies
• Provide technical input to engineering specifications and drawings
• Review and update naval system and equipment technical documentation
• Provide guidance to clients and staff in the field of hull systems/naval architecture technology
• Write Technical Publications

Education and Experience:

• RQPO1 Maintenance Manager Qualification from Canadian Navy from RCN with 20 years of experience
• TQ6A or TQ6B (or equivalent) of any of the following trades, Marine Engineer, Marine Electrical, Hull, or Combat Systems from Canadian Navy or Diploma in Engineering Technology
• Proficient with maintenance procedures and documentation
• Experience in technical writing and proficient with MS Office
• Must have attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Must be able to meet project deadlines with minimal supervision
• Must be physically capable of moving about a ship, climbing ladder
• Experience working in a marine environment is considered an asset

Additional Requirements:

• Candidates must be eligible to obtain required security clearances.
