We’re looking for an Ophthalmology Clinic Manager, someone who’s ready to grow with our company. In this position, you’ll maintain accountability for clinical and personnel activities for daily operations related to the provision of Ophthalmology services, provide support to the Director, Medical Director, and Practice Administrator for outpatient clinic operations, provide clinical direction to assigned staff, and provide patient care for patients within the scope of demonstrated clinical competencies.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required
• COA - Cert-Cert Ophthalmic Assistant by Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (JCAHPO) required OR COT - Cert-Cert Ophthalmic TECH by Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (JCAHPO) required
• 4 years of clinical experience in pediatric ophthalmology required
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and collaborate outpatient clinical operations and patient care needs with appropriate members of the healthcare team to achieve desired clinical outcomes and management of care across the continuum
• Demonstrate effective communication skills with the health care team and work to eliminate communication barriers
• Serve as a liaison between physicians, families, technicians, and ancillary departments
• Coordinate departmental performance improvement efforts and ensure compliance of departmental policies and procedures with regulatory requirements
• Observe, identify, and address human resources issues for assigned staff, and coach, counsel and develop staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care
• Ensure all new employees complete required orientation and competency assessments
• Perform visual acuity, color vision testing, lensometry, exophthalmometry, Amsler grid, Schirmer test, pupil evaluation, anterior chamber depth assessment, stereo testing, ocular motility on extraocular muscle actions, strabismus, amblyopia, and assessment methods on children and adults
• Perform basic instrument maintenance on ophthalmoscopes, retinoscopes, lensometers, perimeters, tangent screen, phoropter/trial frames, slip lamps, keratometers, muscle light, and surgical instruments
• Support the implementation of clinic goals (in collaboration with physician and clinic leadership) and communication of the organization’s strategic plan to staff
