Location: North MOB – OBGYN Department
Schedule: Monday to Friday, flexible start time between 7:00 AM and 8:30 AM
Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and patient-focused individual to support front-end operations in our OBGYN department. This role is essential in facilitating smooth patient flow, ensuring accurate data collection, and delivering excellent service from the point of entry through the patient’s visit.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate patient flow in a timely, accurate, and professional manner
Interview patients to obtain demographic and financial information
Schedule appointments and explain departmental/hospital policies and charges
Validate and enter charges into appropriate systems
Collect necessary payments and interpret insurance information
Answer incoming calls and direct patients and visitors appropriately
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required
Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred
Ability to learn and retain medical coding (ICD-10, CPT)
Familiarity with clinical practices and medical terminology preferred
Ability to interpret insurance information
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
