We have an exciting opportunity for an Employee Benefits Specialist to join the team!

As an Employee Benefit Specialist, the selected candidate will:

  • Provide direct employee support using a pro-active, problem-solving approach and ensuring prompt follow-up and resolution on employee questions.
  • Administer annual benefits renewal & benefit plan changes at a local level.
  • Administer effective communications and education of benefits and leave policies.
  • Create and update benefits communications on the intranet and at regular touchpoints with colleagues.
  • Partner with HR, the Business Office, Legal and CORP to implement benefits program changes
  • Play a lead role in the delivery of benefit programs (New Hires, Open Enrollment, etc.)
  • Provide direct employee support using a pro-active, problem-solving approach and ensuring prompt follow-up and resolution on employee questions.
  • Follow team processes to ensure appropriate escalation on sensitive and priority cases.
  • Efficiently leverage the vendor platforms to support audits, reporting and employee needs.
  • Review and track Benefit changes, PTO and Leave within HRIS & payroll system.
  • Process Leave of Absence documents, maintain Share Point data and communicate to HR colleagues.
  • Make copies, type and other necessary office activities as required.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to complete surveys, initiatives, and events for the Company.
  • Analyze benefit processes and look for ways to improve best practices for better efficiencies.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to develop, write, and maintain department processes.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requisition Qualifications:

    This position has been posted at multiple levels. Depending on the candidate's experience, requirements, and business needs, we reserve the right to consider candidates at any level for which this position has been advertised.

    • Requires a HS diploma or its equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
    • Must have 3 years of progressive experience in Human Resources and/or Benefits.
    • Must have experience with PeopleSoft screen navigation and data entry.
    • Must be proficient with Microsoft suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Must be able to create reports and charts using Excel.
    • Must have experience with SharePoint entry.             

    Requisition Preferences:

    • Familiarization with SmartSheet is preferred.

    Essential Functions

    Work Environment

    Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.

    Physical Requirements

    Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).

    Equipment and Machines

    Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.).

    Attendance

    Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
