Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day IT support to all hotel departments, ensuring smooth and efficient operation of IT systems.
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, network systems, and servers in compliance with IHG brand standards.
- Monitor and maintain hotel network security, firewalls, backups, and antivirus systems.
- Respond promptly to IT service requests and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
- Manage and support hotel-specific systems including PMS, POS, back-office, and telephone systems.
- Coordinate with IHG corporate IT and vendors for system upgrades, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain an updated inventory of all IT equipment and software licenses.
- Ensure data backup processes are in place and regularly tested.
- Train hotel team members on proper use of IT systems and cybersecurity best practices.
- Maintain compliance with IHG IT policies, GDPR, and local data protection laws.
- Provide technical support for events, conferences, and guest internet access.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of IT support experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of networking (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi), Windows Server, and Office 365.
- Experience with hotel systems (Opera PMS, Micros POS, Sun Systems, etc.) is an advantage.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work flexible hours and respond to urgent issues on call.
- Team player with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
