Reliability Engineer

As a reliability engineer you have the opportunity to work on and highly automated distribution and fulfilment technologies within the parcel, distribution and fulfilment industries. Our installed base MHE portfolio is rapidly growing with sortation and transportation technologies, AS/RS (Autostore, mini-loads, etc.), Robotics, AGVs, AMRs, and intelligent warehouse software. The asset management team is in development, we are looking for team members keen on building the organization and standards.
Role
You will be part of the Lifecycle Performance Services (LPS) asset management team. You are responsible for the foundation and improvement of services and setting the standard for continuous improvement activities and knowledge sharing between our engineering departments, our service organization and customers.
You will be part of a project implementation team for the services at a new omni-channel Distribution centre in Central Europe. You have a pivotal role between the Project team stake holders and the customer. You will work on the further development of asset management capabilities within FORTNA. This is an ideal role for a reliability engineer with experience in the field MHE, the implementation and improvement of operational processes.
Initial development of the maintenance plan of reliability modelling for Strategic Programs
First point of contact for engineering and the internal stake holders improving the reliability of FORTNA integrated assets.
You are the owner of FORTNA performance metrics and its definitions to gather data, measure, monitor and analyse system performance. You develop, test, and validate tools and methods for these.
Develop, test and implement (remote) monitoring performance metrics at our customer together with our software teams.
You work together with the maintenance engineers on the maintenance demands for machines, it’s components and control systems. Support this with Risk Analyses for the development of Preventive (PM) Maintenance Plans.
You are responsible for developing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Fault Trends Analyses (FTA) for complex and recurring reliability issues.
You are the competency owner in the development of the reliability engineering processes in the asset management team. You focus on standardization of methodology and processes within the company and team.
You are a team player and keen to operate worldwide and collaborate to work with colleagues and customers with different backgrounds. You have good communication and analytical skills, you are ambitious and have a win mentality to develop FORTNA and yourself further. In addition, you are:
accurate and good at structuring matters
solution-oriented and pragmatic where necessary
stress resistant and proactive
capable to coach, develop and hold others accountable
Requirements:
At least a Bachelor in an engineering field, or similar level gained with experience
Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and convincingly
Proven analytical skills and experience with data analytics
Good consulting and stakeholder management skills
Experience with continuous improvement methods such as LEAN, Six Sigma, etc.
Knowledge of asset management methods, such as RCM, FMECA, RAMS, TCO, etc.
Good oral and written skills in English and preferably Dutch. German is an advantage.
For this role you are based in Houten, the Netherlands. You are willing to travel internationally approximately 10 % of your time.
