Salary: £34,892

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 06.00 starts

 

Location: Gateshead

 

What will you be doing as a Class 2Driver?

· Driving a Class 2 Vehicle in a safe manner, complying with all road traffic, and vehicle legislation

· Multidrop deliveries to high street stores and trading estates.

· Many deliveries mechanical off load and some stores assist with deliveries.

· Vehicles fitted with equipment to offload items.

· Collecting returns from customers’ properties

· Completion of tachographs in line with legislation and company policies

· Performing vehicle checks at the beginning and end of each journey and reporting all defects

· Ensuring the vehicle and stock are properly always secured

· Always providing a first-class customer service experience

 

Relevant skills and experience as a Class 2 Driver:

· This is a physically demanding role including lifting and shifting – essential that you are physically able to lift items

· Valid LGV, HGV Class 2 License

· Valid Digital Tachograph card

· Full Driver Qualification card (Driver CPC)

· A general understanding of driver's hours legislation and working time directive

· No more than 6 points on driving license
