The Quality Management Coordinator coordinates/prepare Performance Improvement Activities for hospital key quality indicators and peer review activities, including but not limited to case reviews, case summaries, coordination of peer review completion, assistance with presentations as needed at applicable Committee meetings, The Joint Commission and other outside organizations. Assist with coordinating risk management programs, patient safety, patient complaints, and data analysis related activities. 

  • Serves as the Core Measurers Abstractor and familiar with electronic reporting system, CMS Core Measures, Joint Commission and other clinical data sharing processes performed in the facility.
  • Prepare data for Medical Staff Peer Review processes, including case review summaries and findings, conclusions (utilizing the Case Review Rating System approved by Medical Staff Organization), and action plans.
  • Manages, tracks, trends, and analyzes the frequency and causation of general categories and types of incidents and accidents.  Assists with managing and analyzing risk management data including management of online incident report system and tracking incidents to closure.  Audits medical records and monitors performance measures for risk management sentinel events, report events and trends. Assists with gap analysis, and incident trend analysis
  • Participates in and supports the hospital and departmental Performance Improvement Program activities, including but not limited to data collection, data analysis, development of solutions, patient experience, prevention of hospital acquired patient harm/conditions, utilizing current evidence-based practices, supporting the Risk Management Program by referring cases with liability potential, etc.
  • Generate reports for individual Departments and required functions (i.e. Mortality & Autopsy, PI, Core Measure Results, etc.) utilizing QM Director approved report formats which display the use of aggregate trended.
  • Prepares documents and correspondence, demonstrating excellent writing, editing, proofreading skills.  Assists with coordination of assigned Committees.  Effectively coordinates activities associated with meeting management, transcription of minutes, report generation, and follow-up as assigned.
     

Southern Cali Hospital Hollywood

Required Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years recent quality management or related experience within last 6 years
  • Knowledge of Performance Improvement Principles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer literacy and proficiency (Software, Printers, Fax Machines, etc).
  • Ability to maintain flexibility and work well in a fast paced, constantly changing environment
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the organization

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPHQ
  • Current California RN or LVN License or RHIA/RHIT
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Knowledge of The Joint Commission Standards and other regulatory agencies requirements
  • Knowledge of how to locate and utilize current evidence-based practice

Pay Rate: Min - $23.30 | Max - $32.00
