Position Overview:
We’re looking for a Commissioning Project Manager to join our Denver team. This is a unique opportunity designed for a professional who can confidently manage commissioning projects from start to finish — or a strong Assistant Project Manager ready to take the next step.
You’ll coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams, making sure mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems are installed, tested, and performing exactly as intended. From planning meetings to final reports, you’ll be the go-to person who ensures projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standard.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement commissioning plans and schedules for projects.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams.
- Witness pre-functional and conduct functional testing of systems and equipment.
- Identify and resolve issues during the commissioning process.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Prepare commissioning reports and documentation.
- Provide training and support to clients and end-users.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources.
- Collaborate with design and construction teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, with emphasis on HVAC and controls.
- Strong communication skills — both technical writing and client-facing.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Comfortable working independently or as part of a collaborative team.
- Willingness to travel (local and out-of-state) for multi-day assignments.
Preferred
- Professional certifications (CxA, PE, PMP, or similar).
- 3–5+ years of commissioning or project management experience.
- Experience in testing, adjusting, and balancing; controls; MEP design; energy auditing; or construction management.
RELOCATION FOR QUALIFIED CANDIDATES
Salary:$102,000-$120,000 Annually (dependent on experience and geographical location)
