Weekend Supervisor - Heavy Forklift

Position Overview:
We are seeking a hands-on, safety-focused Heavy Forklift Operator Supervisor to lead our warehouse team and oversee the daily operation of heavy material handling equipment. This role ensures safe and efficient warehouse operations, effective team leadership, and collaboration across departments to support timely and accurate order fulfillment. This position will manage one other team member and attendance is a must and will be strictly monitored as a success factor.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily warehouse and heavy forklift operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and maintaining operational efficiency.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate forklift operators and warehouse staff to foster a high-performing and safety-conscious work environment.
• Oversee the use of RF scanners and warehouse management systems to accurately track inventory movement and optimize material handling processes.
• Monitor workflow and productivity metrics, making necessary adjustments to meet operational goals and shift targets.
• Collaborate with the customer—such as Production Planning, Logistics, and Customer Service—to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment and distribution.
• Lead, coach, and motivate team members, ensuring compliance with company policies, operating procedures, and safety standards.
• Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying inefficiencies in warehouse and forklift operations and recommending actionable solutions.
• Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and teamwork across all shifts and work areas.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; additional technical or leadership training preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse operations, including at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or lead role.
• MUST have a valid drivers license
• MUST have proven experience operating heavy forklifts (e.g., 40,000 lbs. or more) in an industrial or distribution environment.
• Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
• Proficient in the use of warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanning technology.
• Ability to lead, train, and motivate a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
