UF Advancement’s Strategic Communications, Marketing & Engagement (SCME) team is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented student to assist with project management support. The Student Assistant will gain hands-on experience coordinating projects, maintaining schedules, and collaborating with creative and strategic teams to help advance the University of Florida’s mission and fundraising goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with tracking project timelines, deliverables, and deadlines using the project management tool Asana.
- Support the project intake process by organizing requests, updating task lists, and maintaining accurate records.
- Monitor and record basic project data, such as task completion status, turnaround times, and project progress updates.
- Coordinate communications with team members and campus partners as directed.
- Prepare meeting agendas, take notes during meetings, and follow up on action items.
- Help organize and maintain digital files, project folders, and shared resources.
- Proofread and review draft materials for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to UF brand standards.
- Perform basic research or gather information to support marketing and communications projects.
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed to support the SCME team.
Expected Salary:
$15.00 per hour
Required Qualifications:- Currently enrolled as a student at the University of Florida and in good academic standing.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Willingness to learn new software and project management tools.
- Coursework or interest in marketing, communications, public relations, business, or a related field.
- Familiarity with project management platforms.
- Previous experience in an office or communications setting.
